Inviting your Team
QueueDesk relies on clear role definitions to ensure security, simplify workflows, and maintain multi-tenancy bounds.
1. Five User Roles
QueueDesk supports five distinct roles. Each role determines what routes and data a member can access:
| Role | Access Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Full Control + Billing | The creator of the workspace. Only the Owner can manage billing, checkouts, and delete the workspace. |
| Admin | Agent dashboard + Settings | Full settings control (canned replies, groups, branding, integrations) but cannot access billing or delete the workspace. |
| Agent | Agent queue + Ticket edit | Access to /home to triage and reply to tickets. Cannot change workspace settings or manage people. |
| Employee | Portal only | Access to /portal to raise and track their own tickets. Cannot access the agent dashboard /home. |
| External | Read-only contact | Created automatically for external email senders. Has zero application capabilities and cannot log in. |
2. Inviting Members
- •Navigate to Settings → Team (
/admin/settings/team).
- •Select the Invite tab to send an invite link to a single email address.
- •Select the Bulk Invite tab to copy-paste multiple emails or upload a CSV containing name, email, and role.
- •Once the invitation is sent, the invitee receives an email. Accepting the invite registers their account and adds them directly to your organization.
Single-Sign On (SSO) and Directory Sync (SCIM) invitations are covered in the Connecting Integrations & Custom MCP Servers section.
